About Brosterfield Caravan Park
Location
Brosterfield Caravan Park sits in the heart of the stunning Peak District, surrounded by open fields, rolling hills and grazing cows and sheep. It’s a peaceful, low-key site where you can properly switch off and enjoy the countryside.
The Local Area
We’re just a 5-minute stroll down the village lane from the local pub, and a short drive from favourite Peak District spots such as Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Castleton. Whether you love walking, mountain biking, cycling, photography, shopping or simply sitting with a drink and a good book, Brosterfield is a great base to do as much, or as little, as you like.
Our History
The site has a long history. It first ran as a small campsite in the 1970s alongside the then working Brosterfield Farm, before closing around 2003. We (Penny, Stephen and our family) bought the farm in 2009 and have gradually renovated it into a mix of luxury self-catering properties, camping and glamping, as well as our family home. We own the surrounding acres of land, which are now farmed by a local farmer, keeping the landscape beautifully rural.
At the end of 2022 we took on the caravan site and have deliberately kept it small, quiet and natural. We want guests to feel close to nature, not crammed in.
Dogs Welcome
Dogs are very welcome. We allow up to two dogs per camping, caravan or motorhome pitch, and one dog in each glamping tent. There are beautiful walks straight from the site, and the local pub is dog-friendly too.
A Range of Options
Caravans
Bring your caravan, campervan or motorhome to our spacious, non-electric grass pitches and enjoy simple, back-to-basics touring in the heart of the Peak District. The field is quiet and low-key, with plenty of room to spread out and easy access to showers, toilets, pot washing, fresh water and waste disposal. Dogs are welcome too, and the dog-friendly village pub is just a short stroll down the lane.
Camping
Pitch your tent on our peaceful camping field, surrounded by open farmland, cows, sheep and big Derbyshire skies. This is relaxed, traditional camping with the comfort of on-site facilities – separate men’s and ladies’ showers, toilets, a pot washing area, drinking water and WiFi. We keep things calm and friendly, with no large group bookings and no music, so you can unwind, listen to the birds and enjoy the countryside.
Glamping
Our unfurnished Paddington’s bell tents are perfect if you like the idea of camping without the hassle of putting up your own tent. Each spacious bell tent sleeps up to five guests and includes a cosy log burner for cooler evenings (logs available as an extra) – just bring your own beds, bedding and kit. Set within the caravan and camping field, you’re only a short walk from the facilities block and an easy stroll from the local pub serving great food.
Holiday Cottages
If you’d like a little more luxury, Brosterfield Farm offers a collection of beautifully finished self-catering cottages, suites, cabins and shepherd huts. Sleeping from two to six guests, they feature comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms and well-equipped living spaces, all wrapped up in peaceful countryside views. Visit the Brosterfield Farm website to see The Old Dairy, Shippon Cottage, Brosterfield Cottage and more.

What Our Guests Say
Really lovely place to stay, great location. It had everything we needed. The instructions on how to find the place were helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a great campsite. It is quiet and peaceful. There is plenty of space.
The showers and toilets are modern and really clean. The wash up area is good too.
The warden Aaron and his partner were friendly and very helpful and took very good care of the site.
Would really recommend this campsite. Thank you for a great stay.
Fantastic site. We stayed in the Bell tent and had an amazing weekend. The facilities are really good, clean and well setup. The site is beautiful, and there is plenty nearby including a great pub and walks. Fantastic!
We have stayed here twice now and loved it both times! Very quiet and kept spotlessly clean
Friendly, clean and comfortable on site staff very relaxed and helpful within easy walk of local pub and would definitely visit again.
Loved our stay, very tidy and clean site. Will definitely return.
Lovely camp site with great facilities, would love to come back.
My first time camping so can only go on this experience. Lovely quiet site, super clean showers and toilet area. Lovely and warm in there too.
Didn’t use washing up facilities but everything looked neat and tidy there too. Beautiful views. Our questions were answered quickly re. Booking query. Would definitely stay there again. Owners have obvs thought of everything.
Fab pub for food 5 mins away.
The only thing I missed was an electric socket for hair straighteners but not sure if you get that at campsites anyway.
Excellent site, extremely quiet we were the only people there for both nights.
New facilities well kept, if the site ever gets full they could be overwhelmed.
Nice pub with reasonable food just down the road, good walks and handy for visiting Eyam will definitely return.
Absolutely would recommend, a lovely long weekend and wonderful staff.
I stayed for a single night in a small tent when I had a couple of long hikes planned either side. The site was extremely tidy with a large field for camping and the facilities were lovely, with a small toilet block with two men’s showers (and presumably similar for women), that were free, very clean and much more like a shower from home.
We enjoyed our stay, the site has lots of space with fire sites. Great to sit out under dark skies. The facilities have all you need for tents and motorhomes. We would certainly come again.
The campsite was really lovely, easy to get to, and a great base to go out for walks and hikes. The pub is only a 5 minute walk away and serves excellent food! Toilet and shower block was clean and the facilities generally were good. Easy to enter the campsite. The quiet was lovely too, and the whole place felt very calm and respectful 🙂
The campsite has everything you could want. It occupies a fabulous location just outside the village of Foolow. Modern shower block with washing up area. Good supply of hot water. Well managed and secure access barrier. Local pub offers food within a 10 minute walk. Would definitely book again. Thank you
Lovely site with all the facilities you could need for camping. 10 min slow walk to a pub in the village, so it’s conveniently situated.
Great site nice and quiet

Also a nice pub just down the road
I highly recommend you give this site a try
