About Brosterfield Caravan Park
Location
Brosterfield Caravan Park sits in the heart of the stunning Peak District, surrounded by open fields, rolling hills and grazing cows and sheep. It’s a peaceful, low-key site where you can properly switch off and enjoy the countryside.
The Local Area
We’re just a 5-minute stroll down the village lane from the local pub, and a short drive from favourite Peak District spots such as Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Castleton. Whether you love walking, mountain biking, cycling, photography, shopping or simply sitting with a drink and a good book, Brosterfield is a great base to do as much, or as little, as you like.
Our History
The site has a long history. It first ran as a small campsite in the 1970s alongside the then working Brosterfield Farm, before closing around 2003. We (Penny, Stephen and our family) bought the farm in 2009 and have gradually renovated it into a mix of luxury self-catering properties, camping and glamping, as well as our family home. We own the surrounding acres of land, which are now farmed by a local farmer, keeping the landscape beautifully rural.
At the end of 2022 we took on the caravan site and have deliberately kept it small, quiet and natural. We want guests to feel close to nature, not crammed in.
Dogs Welcome
Dogs are very welcome. We allow up to two dogs per camping, caravan or motorhome pitch, and one dog in each glamping tent. There are beautiful walks straight from the site, and the local pub is dog-friendly too.
